Heatless Desiccant Air Dryers
Heatless desiccant air dryers use a desiccant; often activated alumina, silica gel, or another material; to remove moisture from compressed air. The compressed air is channeled through a tower containing the desiccant and the moisture is removed through the process of adsorption before the air is returned to the system for use. Expanded compressed air is used to purge moisture from the desiccant, thus regenerating it and making it available for further use.
