Quiet Two Stage Piston Air Compressors

Two stage air compressors have the ability to effectively double the compression of air within a unit. These tools, sometimes listed as 2 stage air compressors, feature a pair of cylinders with an intercooler that is similar to a single stage compressor. In two stage compressors the second stage, smaller cylinder allows for higher pressure outputs to be better suited for industrial and continuous applications. Quiet or "silent" air compressors are typically defined as having a sound level measured in decibels (dB or DBA) at or below 70, though many units advertise a noise level of no more than 60 decibels.
