The Van Air Systems ID Series In-Line Desiccant Air Dryer consists of either a disposable silica gel cartridge with a molecular sieve (15 CFM models) or a sacrificial bed of loose silica gel desiccant (35 CFM model) that can be drained through a plug at the bottom of the vessel. The 15 CFM models' disposable cartridge eases service and eliminates the need for tools, while the sacrificial bed model has an extended service interval for higher flow applications.

Model 38-0124 is suited only for compressed air applications. Other models are suitable for compressed air or natural gas.
