Description

The Van Air Systems D-Series Deliquescent Air Dryer removes harmful water vapor from compressed air lines. Wet compressed air enters the bottom of the dryer and flows upward through a bed of deliquescent desiccant, which absorbs moisture as it slowly dissolves. Condensate drops to the bottom of the vessel to be drained, while dry compressed air exists the top of the vessel. Combined with Dry-O-Lite desiccant, the D-Series automatically provides a dew point that is approximately 20ºF lower than the temperature of the air at the vessel inlet. The unit is capable of protecting against freeze-ups in the winter and liquid in the summer. They can be installed inside or outside, and are suitable for low pressure applications with a pressure drop less than 1%. Because they require no moving parts or electrical components, the D-Series can also be applied in dirty and hazardous locations.

Applications

  • Industrial plant air
  • Blast rooms and paint booths
  • Rail yards
  • Landfill gas and digester gas
